THE ROLE
Porta is an independent tapas bar opening on Chapel Street, Salford this November.

With busy, award-winning sites in Altrincham and Chester, this will be an exciting opening and a great time to join this small but ambitious company.

We’re building a team to help us launch Porta Salford in an exciting location on Bexley Square, just a few minutes walk from Deansgate and Spinningfields.

If you’re a front-of-house professional with ‘hands-on’ restaurant experience, we’d love to hear from you. We’re looking for someone focused on delivering a great experience for our customers by combining a friendly, relaxing environment, excellent product knowledge and efficient service.

The successful candidate will show good organisational skills, thrive under pressure and get a kick out of busy shifts that run like clockwork. A keen interest in food and drink is a must.

ABOUT PORTA

The first ‘Porta’ was opened in Chester in 2012 by restaurateur brothers Ben & Joe Wright. It is located next door to their multi award-winning restaurant, Joseph Benjamin. A second Porta opened in 2016 in the market town of Altrincham, Greater Manchester, opposite the bustling market hall. A third tapas bar will open in Bexley Square off Chapel Street, Salford in winter 2018.

The aim at Porta is to keep things really simple. A lively, bustling environment inspired by the tiniest independent tapas bars of Madrid and Barcelona.

The menu is enthusiastically Iberian, representing many tapas bar classics and is focused on top quality ingredients. Joe works with his team of chefs tirelessly perfecting recipes for every sauce and menu item. From the croquetas and the bravas sauce to the chorizo & lentil stew, every item is handmade in-house.

Simply put, Porta is the kind of place to relax in – unpretentious and comfortable with good music, beer, wine and food.
